When I heard that BitGravity was testing their new product called “Multiview” I got excited. The idea behind the technology is that there are multiple HD streams going at once and you get to choose which one you want in the forefront, essentially putting you in the director’s chair and give you the ultimate choice in how you want to view your streaming content. Revision3 got to play around with the technology and utilized the service for one of their episodes of Diggnation. I participated for awhile (until lag time stopped everything for me) and did a fairly bangup job at “remixing” the episode. In short, I like it but I don’t think Diggnation was really the best way to test out the capabilities of Multiview for Revision3. For me, I think the better show to do this for would have been Tekzilla, or even the Totally Rad Show, both of which have different shots that they use in the editing process.
