All my gripes with the Wii and it’s poor third-party titles aside, the trailer for the Wii version of Ghostbusters looks kind of fun. Granted, it’s only a trailer and the game itself is not being made by the same company making the spiffier, more “next-gen” version, so I’m not 100% convinced this won’t completely suck balls. But hey, maybe hell will freeze over and this game will rock.
*sigh*
Who am I kidding? Ghostbusters: The Game is another title that makes me want to trade in my Wii for a 360.

It’s here folks. We finally made it. After 9.9.99, Y2K, 6.6.06, it’s finally here. The doomsday that we’ve all been waiting for. Nevermind the crap predictions that the Mayans made by ending their calendar on the year 2012. No, the end of the world will come this Friday, the THIRTEENTH, when Unix time will read 1,234,567,890.
You read that right people. At 11:31:30 PM UTC this Friday, UNIX time will reach a funny little quirk by displaying the consecutive numbers from which all other numbers will form.
What will happen? Will V’Ger ascend upon us demanding for the maker? Will the Eye of Sauron explode with it’s deadly light upon us? Will the Stay Puft Marshmellow Man appear to wreak havoc upon the world? I don’t know man, I don’t know. All I know is that shit just got really really real. I’ll be hiding out in my basement with a couple bottles of whiskey and a shotgun, praying that the mutants of the impending apocalypse will be slow and shuffling. See you folks on the other side.
If you want to see what the time doomsday will meet you, use this nifty Perl script to find out:
perl -e ‘print scalar localtime(1234567890),”\n”;’
