Sexting. A term which means, “the act of text messaging someone in the hopes of having a sexual encounter with them later; initially casual, transitioning into highly suggestive and even sexually explicit”.

Sexting has gained a fair amount of notoriety in the last few weeks for it’s increasing occurence amongst the youth of our fine nation. Now, Vermont is proposing a bill absolving any legal recourse from anyone engaging in sexting.

Now, I’ll admit it: I’ve done some sexting before. In my younger days, when you’re naive and have those hormones flowing, it’s something which happens. I think it’s pretty ridiculous for anyone to go to jail over something as innocuous and harmless as sexting, so cheers to Vermont for taking a somewhat progressive stance on this issue.

That said, please, no one engage in sexting with someone significantly younger than you. We have limits, people.
